Sometimes, it’s all about cocktails..

Although this blog is not really about cocktails, it is called Cocktail Hour so I thought I would put up the recipes for my top three favourite cocktails.

It’s hard to pronounce but it’s not hard to make, so if you haven’t tried it you should! Lime Daiquiri is so refreshing on either a hot summers day, in a nightclub, in a bar on an evening. It even works as a hangover cure! Trust me, it’s glorious…

235 ml ice
235 ml light rum
109 g frozen limeade concentrate
235 ml carbonated water

Simply put all the ingredients in a blender – combine the ice, rum, limeade concentrate and carbonated water. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve..

God, this cocktail is so luxurious! It is for when you are feeling a bit naughty and decadant. I find it is good for the start of the night, as the milk in it seems to line the stomach. It’s nice and sweet but not too sweet.. Perfect for an evening in a beach bar, or a late afternoon holiday treat..

3/4 ounces each – vodka and Kahlua liqueur
1 1/2 ounces cream or milk
Ice cubes, optional

Mix together the vodka and Kahlua. Then float the cream or milk on top last. Ice cubes aren’t necessary, but can be used. White Russian drinks are best served in chilled glasses.

This is what can happen if you try Jagerbombs, as a sort of thrill seeking activity.. stick to the cocktails

Me on a Jagerbomb night. Probably should have stuck to the White Russians..

I love this cocktail because it’s so fruity! It tastes just divine, and is really good for any time on a night out, even near the end of a night. Try keeping a straight face when you are asking for it though..

A sub standard vodka and coke just won't cut the mustard..
